So the american public have come out in their droves for Will Smith's latest blockbuster, despite a lukewarm reception from the critics and many movie-goers.
Rottentomatoes has got Hancock at a sad 35% from critic's ratings, yet it has already reached a whopping $112 million (domestic) since the July 2nd release date. However on IMDB the film's average rating is currently standing at 6.9/10, not too good considering it's huge box office take.
This suggests that there might well be a large drop off during it's second and third weeks, yet the Will Smith factor could provide it with strong legs.
Next week sees the release of the sure to be massive The Dark Knight. Surely everything will be eclipsed when Bale, Ledger and co. arrive at the multiplex.
